The game is based on the original story, with all the characters and events from the previous titles incorporated into the game. The game uses a completely new graphics engine, with new assets and a brand-new story to tell. The game has been completely redesigned and improved in terms of gameplay and graphics.

The story begins with a group of adventurers who are searching for the legendary "White Shield", a shield that has the power to protect its wearers from all harm. On their journey, they come across a young woman who is known as "The White Lady" and her companions, "The Black Knights".
